Greek goalkeeper Michalis Sifakis is set for a trial at Birmingham, according to reports from the player's homeland.
The OFI Crete man was expected to arrive in the Midlands at the weekend, or on Monday at the latest, with Steve Bruce to take a look at him in training.
Sifakis has international experience and is thought to be available at around £200,000 should Birmingham be keen on striking a deal.
Bruce is known to be on the lookout for fresh faces as he plots Birmingham's return to the Premier League for next season.
It does, though, remain to be seen whether reports from Greece of his interest in Sifakis have genuine credence.
