New first-team coach Hans Backe has vowed to bring 'structure and organisation' to Manchester City.
Backe's appointment as assistant to Sven Goran Eriksson was confirmed on Saturday and he was alongside his fellow Swede in the dug-out for the 3-1 friendly win over Doncaster Rovers.
The former FC Copenhagen coach, who won three league titles in Denmark, had announced his retirement in May but explained that he could not resist the opportunity of working in England.
"I accepted immediately," Backe told Fotbollskanalen.se of his offer to work with Eriksson at Eastlands.
"It's a fantastic opportunity to come to England and get a taste of the Premier League, which I feel is the best league in the world.
"I hope to add some structure and organisation to the side."
