Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed he will be fit for Manchester United's Premier League opener against Reading in August.
The experienced Norwegian hit-man was forced to undergo more knee surgery in the summer after complaining of discomfort in training.
It had been thought The Red Devils could be without the 34-year-old for the start of the new season, but he has rejected the speculation.
However, Solskjaer has conceded he is now at a point in his career where he will not be able to play more than twice in a week for United.
"I'll be starting from scratch, but I will be fit for the league opener," he told P4.
"I won't be able to play two matches a week all season, but if I regain top shape I hope to add upon what I achieved last season.
"The knee will never be 100 per cent again, but as long as it doesn't hurt I'll continue to play.
"I don't know how long I can continue. It might be over after this season or I might be able to play another season."
