Schwarzer denies German talk

Mark Schwarzer insists he has not had any contact with any other club.

The Middlesbrough number one has voiced his concerns in recent days about the club.

He was disappointed at what he perceived was the club's failure to tie down Mark Viduka to a new contract, before he switched to Newcastle - and although he is in talks over a new deal, he thinks they wait too long to open discussions.

However, despite links to several Bundesliga sides in recent weeks - German-speaking Schwarzer, who arrived in England from Germany, says he has not talked with any other clubs.

"I am under contract with Middlesbrough and it is illegal to have contact with any other club so as far as I am concerned no," he told Sky Sports News.

"I have got one-year left on my contract with Middlesbrough, and my agent is in discussions with Middlesbrough at the moment and that is all.

"Like I said I have one year left on my contract and until such time when I am no longer under contract, or I am told something else, I will be at Middlesbrough and I will be at the start of the season."
