Tevez ready to be Fergie pupil

Carlos Tevez insists he cannot wait to link-up with Sir Alex Ferguson.

Tevez's future looks to be at Old Trafford, even though West Ham are digging their heels in over the Argentine.

Tevez's representative Kia Joorabchian says he has agreed terms with United over the move and it seems the transfer will be concluded within the next few days.

The Argentina striker, currently in Venezuela competing in the Copa America for his country, has again revealed his delight at the prospect of playing for Ferguson and United.

"I only know Alex Ferguson from what I see from the outside but I believe he is a great manager and that I will be a good pupil for him," he told the Daily Mirror.

"Manchester United is a team with a very offensive, attacking style of play. This is the system I always desire.

"Ronaldo is one of the best players in the world. I have spoken with him during the season and I admire him for being a star on the pitch and on the street."
