Portugal coach Luis Felipe Scolari has heaped praised on Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
Despite his tender years, Ronaldo has emerged as a leading player for not just United, but also the Portuguese national side.
Scolari has overseen his development on the international scene and just like Sir Alex Ferguson, he is a staunch admirer of the precociously talented wide man.
"For me he is a big person in all respects," Scolari told a press conference to promote his book, Momentos.
"I remember the day of our defeat to Greece in Euro 2004 and after the disappointment passed, he arrived at the positives.
"This winning character has helped take Portugal to a new level in the last few years, and the example was at the World Cup in 2006."
Scolari believes Ronaldo has all the attributes to be the best player in the world, but he has also warned that this aim will only be reached, if the player continues to work hard.
"Cristiano Ronaldo is a wonder in all aspects but there are other men in the world with similar qualities. He needs to keep working to be the unique number one."
